What is the Midnight?
Rifts in Minecraft Version 1.15 and beyond
A rift, as it appears in the 1.12.2 version, the only entrance and exit to this dimension.
The Midnight is a Minecraft mod introducing a whole new, terrifyingly dark dimension filled with tons of entirely unique mobs, blocks, biomes and threats!
While the mod is available for download, it is currently incomplete. Much of the mod's planned features aren't yet implemented, and players may encounter bugs. If this doesn't discourage you, the mod is available here on CurseForge.
To get to the dimension, one must find a portal in the Overworld. The portal, also known as a rift, is a naturally occurring portal that allows access into the dimension. In Minecraft version 1.15.2 and beyond rift are generated structures that open, and close, during the night of the Overworld. In older versions, rifts are entities as shown in the image to the right. The player can either enter through the rifts themselves... or be pulled in by a rifter.
